My research in Practice-Oriented Artificial Intelligence

Author

Berenika Ewart-James

I am a PhD researcher in Practice-Oriented Artificial Intelligence at the University of Bristol. My research focuses on how artificial intelligence can personalise recommendations and interventions to support health, wellbeing, and behaviour change. My current interests include personalised recommender systems, wearable and longitudinal health data, cyclical and circadian modelling, reinforcement learning, and explainable AI. I am particularly interested in methods that account for an individual’s changing behavioural and physiological state rather than treating personalisation as static. This website presents my research interests, current projects, publications, and other academic activities.
